DIVING DEEP INTO THE VISION

Well-being is not always a tranquil state. As Viktor Frankl observed, it often comes from striving for purposes worthy of the human spirit. FRD envisions societies where religious and ideological groups with unreconcilable convictions about human destiny and the common good engage as trustworthy rivals in pursuit of the whole truth and best way forward together. We envision families, communities, and greater societies that thrive in the peaceful tension of collaborative co-resistance—contesting their differences in good faith by means of respectful mutual persuasion. We envision societies that value most highly sustainable friendships based on trust and care that withstand the tension of unresolved conflicts over values and convictions.
